MomKat lived in the woods for around seven years, well populating a large feral colony,  before we moved to the area.

While she, herself, was fairly comfortable with people -- and freely accepted affection -- most of her offspring were truly feral and shied away from people.

In 1997 she honored us by having a litter of 4 kittens on our back porch.  To protect her and and kittens from severe weather, we soon moved them inside.  The kittens were well socialized and placed in loving homes.

She managed to have a second litter that year before we were able to have her spayed.

In 1999 we moved MomKat into our house, and she has quickly adapted to comfortable living, particularly sleeping on the bed!
